Easter 2010

Now this post is only 3 1/2 weeks late but oh well. Easter fell on Conference weekend this year. Blaine had clipper on Saturday so we didn't see him much. My dad came down for Cameron's birthday a few weeks before and brought a bunch of stuff from Nana for Easter for the boys. So it was like a mini Christmas for them with all the stuff they got them and the few things that we got them. I really don't remember any Easters really until my dad married Trish (aka Nana to the boys). She had a tradition of having the Easter bunny leave a trail of goodies showing us where our baskets where. I did it last year for Ryan but he really didn't care I thought this year I would try it again. I was up with Cameron at 5am that morning so I thought after I got him back to sleep that I would make sure the Easter bunny came and left a trail for the boys. It worked out really well this year and Ryan actually got excited about it. This is what our house looked like.
This is what it looked like after the bunny came to our house. Just like Christmas Ryan didn't care who brought it he just liked what was sitting in his living room. If you notice there are three trails yep the bunny even brought something for daddy.
It was funny because normally when Ryan wakes up in the morning he comes and jumps in bed with us. I had heard him open his door and he didn't come running in. He went and looked around after a minuet or two he came in and said "mommy mommy come look." We went back to his door and he started to collect all the little eggs. The nice thing is Cameron was still asleep so there was no way he was going to choke on it. Ryan thought this was pretty cool because it looked just like a carrot but then I showed him it opened up and inside was a duck he thought it was neat.
Ryan goes to music therapy on Tuesdays and his therapist name is Ryan two so ry thinks that it is neat that Mr. Ryan has the same name as him. For Christmas Mr. Ryan got all of his students Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakquel soundtrack. Now when we are in the care we either listen to Ry's preschool cd that one of his teachers made him ,last years primary program or this years primary program CD. Ryan doesn' t like the radio he likes his CD's. So I didn't think he was going to go for this but Mr. Ryan said now number 3 is his favorite. I turn on # 3 and it's Pink. No not the real Pink but the Chipetts singing pink. All the songs on the CD are songs that you can turn on the radio and hear the only thing is it's either the chipmunks or the chipetts singing them. So you can only imagine what it is like to listen to this cd allllll the time. Thanks Mr Ryan anyway Ryan doesn't really do movies all that much we tried to take him to a movie once and it didn't go over very well. Whenever he would see a preview for the chipmunk movie I would always say we should see that and he would always say ya so for Easter I decided that I would get it for him. Don't worry it's still sitting in it's package on our TV stand. Someday we will watch it.
Eventually Cameron woke up and he thought that it was pretty cool all of the stuff that he got. I think I am going to get in trouble for this one. I had to do it. Nope he doesn't look like a girl at all. I love the bruise on his forehead he is was still trying to get the crawling down now he was a pro and yes I need a girl don't you think.
Yes we did make it out to our little girls grave. The turquoise flowers where already there from her birthday in January but they haven't faded so I just added a couple of yellow ones for some more color. Ryan wanted to put the vase in all on his own sorry for the shadow but he was so excited to do it.

Blaine ended up having to help a little.

It looks great now I just wish the grass grew better.

Next post Easter egg hunt hopefully I can get that done before next Easter.

Cute Pictures

Most of these pictures Blaine took on his phone so some a better than others but they are so cute I just had to post them.

Ever since Cameron has had his tubes put in he has started to eat. We are so happy about that because if he didn't eat food by his 1st birthday they were going to have to run some not so fun tests. I was at work when Blaine sent this to me showing that he was eating all on his own.I just love those little blue eyes. After Desiree was baptized at the end of February we went to a huge park for food and fun. It was suppose to rain that day but Desiree prayed that it wouldn't rain so that we could all have a fun day. The nice thing was her prayers were answered because it didn't start to rain until after the party was over.Did you know that at Superstition Mall on the weekends and on holidays they have a train that you can ride. It is upstairs and will take you around half of the mall. It takes about 5 minuets because there are always people in the way but it was still fun. Ryan saw it and he had to do it. It was $3.00 for each person but he had a blast. The nice thing was they where the only people on it.Ever since the tubes where put in Cameron has gotten mobile. He is crawling all over the place and is now pulling himself up on everything. He is pretty proud of himself can't you tell. This is after Ryan has gone to bed Cameron gets really happy because he can play in peace. Ryan isn't there yelling at him telling him no to everything that he is doing.
This doesn't happen very often where Ryan is being nice to Cameron. Cameron has the same love of cars that his brother has. Cameron is trying to drive his cars on the side of the bathtub like his big brother. Now this really never happens. Ryan and Cameron are in there room and playing nice together. Ryan is actually telling him what the letters are here.Isn't this sad. He is watching everyone else outside ride bikes and he is stuck in the house. Poor poor Cameron. Now this is more like it.Super happy to be outside with all the kids.
Not ready for this big of a bike yet

Bunk Beds

A few weeks ago we got the boys some bunk beds. I know that Cameron isn't ready for a big boy bed yet but we got it anyway. It actually works out because we needed an extra bed for when my dad came. Ryan has been sleeping in a twin bed since he was 9 months old. He would not sleep in the crib but he would sleep in our bed. After we got the twin bed he slept fine. Cameron on the other hand sleeps fine in the crib and I am very happy about that. Ryan's bed was a double hand me down from one of Blaine's moms friend. We have been very grateful for it but it was falling apart and it was just time to get a new one.I had been doing a lot of research on bunk beds because I didn't really want to spend $3-400 on it. I found one at Walmart for $165 even though the web sight said $199. All the reviews I had read on it said that it was a really good bed. The main thing that the bed had to have was the ladder had to be attached it couldn't touch the floor. We got most of it put together before Ryan got home from school and he was super excited. Even Cameron loves it.Playing on Ryan's top bunk. Ryan actually looks like he likes Cameron at the momentSuch a happy baby

School Stuff

I usually try and save all the stuff that Ryan bring home from school and put it in a folder. This year he is coming home with bigger stuff than ever and I feel bad just tossing it because it isn't going to fit in the folder so I thought I would take pictures of him with his stuff and then at least I would have that. The month of January and February they studied dinosaurs.
This is Ryan's dinosaur egg that he made. Finally a picture with Ryan's eyes open. It's hatching it's hatching...This is what was inside the dinosaur egg. They had a fossil week and they had to make and find there fossils.Ryan is very proud of his fossils.

Some fun stuff

This post will have a lot of pictures so sorry I am so far behind it isn't funny. We have found Cameron sleeping in the most interesting positions lately. Yes this is the famous froggie. He has two that are exactly the same because I got on eBay and found one and then for Valentines day the boys got me a flower candy froggie thing and Cam has now taken over that frog as well. So here he is passed out with all of his froggie friends.
On Mondays I work at the Ribbons and Lace in Chandler so Blaine and I usually carpool and then my grandparents have the boys all day. After we get done with work we go and get the boys and have dinner at there house so its really nice. For Christmas my grandparents got the boys this trampoline and they have a blast on it. Cameron thinks it is so cool and Ryan loves to kick balls around on it.Cameron loves playing fetch with his brother. He is sou proud of himself when he gets the ball.
My grandparents have this Chiminea and we have said I think for a year now that we need to roast marsh mellows so the other Monday night after work we finally did it. Ryan helped Mommy build the fire. Ryan is as much of a piro as his parents are by the way.He is concentrating so hard so he won't burn his marshmallowCameron just loves kicking the rocks with his feet.Even Cameron wanted to help with the fire. I think he we may have little Matthews #4 who loves to play in fire. Just like his parents and his brother.
Everyone had a great time until the chair that Ryan was sitting on gave out and he fell through the bottom of it and hit his head. Poor kid was so scared but all in all it was a fun fire, marshmallow and chocolate filled night.

Cameron's 1st Birthday Party

I am so far behind in blogging it is crazy. I am behind in a lot of things but this sounds like more fun than cleaning my house right now. We had Cameron's 1st birthday party on his actual birthday. Cameron was born on March 27th and for his birthday we went to Mountain View Park for his birthday party. Our birthday party consists of more adults than kids. My dad was able to drive down from Colorado for the weekend so we where very excited about that. We had Blaine's family come for the party and our friends the Young's and that was about it so I think there where 7 kids and 12 adults. We got our favorite Barros pizza for everyone and let the kids run wild on the playground.Unfortunately Cameron has gotten my allergy problem. Thursday night Cam didn' t sleep at all he was so stuffed up and he couldn't sleep. I took him to the Doctor Friday afternoon and they gave him Singular. They should call it gold because it is so expensive. $125.00 with insurance how crazy. So I try and only give it to him when he totally needs it especially now that we don't have insurance at all. That is a entire different story that we will get to later. We gave him the meds and he did better Friday night but it was so windy Saturday morning we got to the park to hold our spot and the poor kid looked miserable. His eyes were swollen and teary and he just looked bad.Thank goodness that he started to get better as the day went on.Mmmmmm Yummmy Pizza CrustWhenever my dad comes Blaine and I don't exist to Ryan. Everything has to be with papa and now he is calling him Grandpa but I think the papa will be back soon. Ryan had to ride in Papa's truck Ryan had to go to bed when Papa went to bed. Ryan is explain to papa how to climb up the ladder to the playground.Ryan is so funny every step that my dad took Ryan would say "Good job papa just a little more a little more..." until they where at the top.
Two of my favorite people.Oh ya don't forget the swing. This cake is amazing. Cameron has a frog that actually use to be Ryan's that he won't seep without. So I thought that it would be fun if we could get a frog cake so I did some googling and found this one. It is a bear 3D cake pan and you use the bears ears for his eyes. It turned out so cute. No I didn't make it my amazing mother in law did. Someday I may try to make one but not right now. Some of the gang at the partyCameron's Great Grandparents. Grandpa Bird chillin on his scooter eating some pizza.Once again Cameron is eating.Cameron and Great Grandma Bird. I think he is wanting some cake.Cameron is going for frogs eyes just like he does at home. His froggies eyes are all scratched out.
Cameron wasn't sure about his cake. He wasn't even touching it so I kind of helped him a long but putting some frosting in his mouth as you can see he isn't all that thrilled. He never did try any of his cake so we took him out so we could do gifts.Chillin with the boysRyan actually came over fro two seconds to see Cameron open his gift. Ryan picked out some drums and Cameron totally loves them.
I love this picture of Cameron with his Papa MatthewsWe almost forgot to get a picture of Papa Bird and Cameron. By this time of the day Cameron was pretty tired and his allergies where starting to get to him again.
Over all this kid had a great birthday thank you to everyone who came and made it so fun.
