Happy Birthday Cameron

Today is Cameron's 1st birthday. It was a fun good day because yesterday I wasn't so sure how it was going to turn out. Yesterday Cameron's allergies where so bad I took him to the Doctor. His eyes where swollen and watery and he didn't sleep because he was so congested. The doctor gave him Singular that is working great but is super super spendy. We will post on that later but so far he is doing great on it. That is a good thing since his birthday party today was outside at a park.
We had Cameron's birthday at Mountain View Park. I was really worried about getting a Ramada because it was a first come first serve thing. I was also helping with a baby shower this morning so I was really cutting things close. I got to the playground about 45 minuets early and its a good thing I did because there was another birthday party going on at the same time as ours. We had mostly family since Cameron's doesn't really have any friends yet but family works right? We had Barros pizza Cameron's favorite crust in the world and my mother in law made Cameron a froggie cake. I have tons of pictures to post but I need to get to bed because I have a very early busy morning. Happy 1st Birthday to my little fat baby. I can't believe you are already one. You gave us a scare in the beginning but you have surprised us so much over these last three weeks. I don't know what we would do without you. Happy Birthday little man.

Haircut

For the longest time we have had problems giving Ryan haircuts. When he was a baby we would take him to Sportscuts and he would scream his head off Blaine would hold him on his lap and I would try and hold his feet while the girl buzzed his head. When he turned 2 we started doing it at him cuz it was a lot cheaper. We would just do a #3 so we wouldn't have to do it so often. About a year ago Ryan found the clippers and told Blaine that he needed a hair cut so Blaine gave him one and just had Ryan hang his head over the potty then they would flush his hair and say by. Last month Blaine went to Supercuts and Ryan went with him. Because Ryan wants to go everywhere with his dad and as they where walking out the door I asked Ryan if he was going to get his hair cut to. He said "we'll see mommy" I really didn't think he was going to until I got this text.
Yep he got his hair cut and he actually put the cape on that has NEVER happened before. But notice the girl cutting his hair. She is a cute blond. Ryan has always had a thing for blonds. When he first started therapy he had a few different girls and he always did better with he cute blond ones I'm not joking. I think that is one thing he got from his Uncle Ryan. My little brother was such a flirt. He would get free food from the girls at Sonic when we went because he would charm them with his cute little self. Now keep in mind he only lived till he was six so I can only imagine how he would of been if he would have made it to teenage years. So my Ryan takes after his Uncle. He came home so excited to show me his new hair cut. I guess we always need to go there when she is working.
I have more posts coming I promise I am so behind on the blogging world.

Happy 6 Years

I am a little late in posting this but the weekend of our anniversary was a pretty jam packed weekend. On March 5th 2010 Blaine and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We had great plans of leaving the boys with Blaine's brother Nathan and his wife for the weekend and go away for a weekend. Our plans fell though when we found out that Friday morning at 7 am Cameron was going to have surgery to get his tubes put in. So Mr. Cameron took priority over our little get away. Blaine took the day off so that he would be there for the surgery afterwards Cameron Blaine and I went out to breakfast. Ryan had spent the night at Gary and Lindas so we didn't have to wake him up at 5am and take him around. After breakfast we went and got Ryan and got him ready for school. We just had kind of a lazy day around the house and where waiting to see how Cameron did with his tubes. They said that some kids are really cranky and stuff but Cam took a nice 3 1/2 hour nap and was happy so we decided to go a head and go out to dinner. Now that was the hardest part where to go to dinner. We have our normal favorites, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Mattas, Fuddruckers but I was in the mood for something a little nicer. Blaine and I haven't ever really been anywhere nice together. So I said what about Ruth Chris or the Melting Pot.
I told him he could choose because he has never been to either before. So we got reservations for the Melting Pot at 6:45. We got Ryan off the bus and got things gathered up to take the boys back over to the Matthews and then we headed out for our big night.
We got there 45 minuets early and they sat us so we got to eat faster we still didn't get out until after 8:00 so you really can't go there if you are starving because it's fondue you cook everything and it takes a while to eat. We got the big night out dinner. It was a four course meal we started with a Cheddar Cheese Fondue and it came with different breads& veggies. Then they brought us out our dinner salads, fallowed by the main entree. By this time we are pretty full but we keep eating anyway. Because we are not seafood people we had them substitute the lobster for more chicken. So on our platter we had garlic crusted chicken, a smoked sirloin, bratwurst, filet, and sun dried tomato ravioli. It was A LOT of FOOD. Now if is time for desert yep there is more. We had a flaming turtle. Sooooo yummy it is chocolate and Carmel mixed together flambeed then they bring out Graham cracker crusted marshmallows, Oreo crusted marshmallows, rice crispy treats, brownies, cheesecake, pound cake, and strawberry's. Once again we where full before this all came out but don't worry it didn't go to waste it did go on our waist though. It was a very nice night in a romantic setting with a lot of food that we on the spendy side but it was still fun.
These past 6 years have been fully of great and sorrowful times. Blaine had to make some decisions that no husband should ever have to make. However we made it though it stronger than ever. I love you so much and thank you for all the hard work that you do to support our family. Here is to another great 6 years.

Cameron's Surgery

Cameron had his ear surgery yesterday. We went into the Gilbert Surgery Center at 6am yesterday morning and got checked in. They said no food for him after midnight so Blaine woke him up at 11:30 to eat because Mr. Cameron still wakes up around 3 or 4am to down 8 oz then goes back to sleep. Five am came and Blaine and I started getting ready then went and woke up Cam and we where on our way. He was being such a good baby waiting for his turn. We got there at six and his surgery was scheduled for 7:15. I think they took him back about 7:20. They took us to Pre Op and told us how everything was going to work. That there is no needles they give him the gas mask and within 15 seconds he is out. It takes the Doctor about 1 minuet in each ear and then they give him straight O2 till he wakes up then they would bring him out to us. We where waiting in Post Op for him and then I heard him cry and they opened the door to bring him to us. The nurse said be carefully he is still really floppy. Well that was really true he had no muscle control at all. He was really really mad. They told us that he was going to be mad but we could feed him as soon as they brought him out. Cameron was even more mad because he was trying to hold up his bottle but he couldn't get his arms to do what he wanted they just where limp. So I held his bottle and he started to calm down. When he got about half the bottle down is when he finally got control of his muscles again.Waiting to be taken back for his surgery

Cameron did really good and after they said that we could leave we went out to breakfast. He was fine the rest of the day and got back into his normal routine. I hope my poor baby finally doesn't have a head ache any more.
Cameron in Post Op. Poor little man
