My Baby Boy turns 7

Ryan Paul Matthews
I can't believe that my baby is 7 today. I don't know how he has gotten so big and I'm not sure that I am ready for it. Since it is the last few weeks of school the 1st grade is going through the alphabet and doing something fun everyday that goes with the letter. Today is "T" day. A few weeks ago they got to make there own tie die shirts. The kids thought it was great so today was the day they got to ware the shirt to school.

I was instructed to bring Ice Cream Sandwiches for his class that afternoon but I couldn't stay. So I was a good mom and did what I was told. Ryan came walking home from school with a crown on his head. If you know Ry that is a big deal since this kid doesn't put any masks or hat type stuff on his head.
I love this little toothless grin. They had all the kids sign each others shirts on the back so that was pretty cool since our school doesn't do yearbooks.
Sundays are the day that you usually get a cake around here at dinner since we didn't have a birthday party this year for him that I still feel bad about but he said he wanted to go camping and to Disneyland instead I guess I should get over it. He told Gma Matthews that he wanted a worm cake this year. We where camping all weekend and came home Sunday morning cuz the choir was singing that day and we found this worm cake on the table waiting for him. He thought it was great. Then daddy got them ready for church and he came out with I white shirt and Tie. Ry doesn't do this very often so I was surprised but what a little stud muffin he is. I can't believe how big my little man is getting. He has come such a long way in his 7 years of life. To see the changes that he is making is so fun. He will always have issues with things but he is learning how to cope. Someday's are harder than others but compared to where is is now compared to even just last year is great. I am sure that will happen every year as he gets older.
Ryan is so much like his name sake. My brother Ryan was one of the most loving people I have ever know and my Ryan is the same way. He always wants to make you happy and is so loving and really does try to be helpful.
Happy Birthday my little man I am so glad you have had a fun month.
