July 4th

Our ward decided to do a 4th of July breakfast at Falcon Field Park. Blaine wasn't happy that it was 7am but I got him to get out of bed and go anyway. Gracie of course with Papa. It wasn't to super hot but it was really muggy until it started to sprinkle after we got a little bit of rain it was actually a really nice morning.
I love the look and Gracie's face the "what you lookin at". She is one funny girl but looks super cute in her leggings and fireworks bow and shirt. She has red dot and poof ball shoes things on I hope I have a picture that shows them a little better. Yes she always matches and has cute little (big) bows and shoe things to match. That's the fun part about having a girl.
That's a better look at her cute little feet. Sister Simmons wanted to hold her and Gracie was okay just chillin with her. This is Gracie and her boyfriend Chet. He is a couple months older than Grace. The funny thing is that Grace already has another boy who wants her if she and Chet don't work out. The other little boy who's name is Levi is a couple months younger than Grace. But Levi's Gpa Riddle is working on Gracie he has even said we need to set them up to go swimming together. So dang funny its a good thing she won't remember all of this otherwise I am sure she would kill us.

We has such a great turn out for this breakfast I think we where all surprised. The cub scouts did a flag raising , we had pancakes, bacon and sausage and it was great cuz we didn't have to worry about watching kids cuz the park was right there and we where the only ones at that park. It is crazy to think that next year that could be my kid up doing the flag.

Fun With Daddy

Still at the 4th of July breakfast the one that my husband didn't want to get out of bed to go to but did anyway cuz he's good like that. Charlie brought some footballs, volleyballs, and basketballs for people to play with. I was talking with someone and the next thing I saw my boys where playing basketball.

It was more like a game of keep away from the boys but they thought it was great chasing daddy around trying to get the ball away from him. Blaine trying to show the boys that he's still got it.
I did have to tell Blaine that he would have to eventually give his kids a turn. Ryan believe it or not is a pretty good shot. Every once in a while when I am driving by the school I will see him outside shooting hoops. He doesn't really get the game of basket ball but he can get the ball in the hoop so that is all that matters.(shhhh don't tell anyone but Ryan made more baskets today then his daddy)
Cameron wanted to get in the action and actually did pretty good. He tried to dribble but that didn't work as well as daddy did. Then he thinks he is going to get set up to shoot the ball. Notice like normal the shoes are gone. It doesn't matter what type of shoes this kids has he never wants to leave them on.
Cameron wanted Blaine and Ryan to make a big deal and try and block him from shooting the ball. Yep I think he is ready for basketball season to start again. Cameron will be the one out of our boys who will be the sports one I am pretty sure.

It was starting to get warm and Cam had been playing hard, Gracie passed out from all the fun and it was shortly after we went home.

Peter Piper Pizza

We figured since it was the 4th and it was hot and suppose to start storming outside that we would take the kids and do lunch at Peter Piper Pizza. They had a good special and there pizza has gotten better over the years plus the boys have a blast playing all the games. We left Gracie at home cuz she wouldn't of had much fun. I was walking around with Ryry as he was playing some games. He put his coin in the game pulled the handle and it landed on this....
Can't see it let me show you.
Yep he won 500 tickets. He landed in that tiny little spot alarms started sounding lights went off kind of like a little vegas but he was so excited. I haven't ever gotten that lucky he thought it was pretty cool.
After winning a bunch more tickets and letting the boys split them. We came home and set up the pool this was after a down poor of rain while we where in having pizza. It was still nice and hot so the boys didn't mind.

Fireworks

Cameron really HATES fireworks! Last year we went to Dairy Queen by the Temple to watch the fireworks and it freaked him out so much that he sat in the car crying with music on and was still scared.
We had bought an arsenal of fireworks this year so after dinner we started working on them. We brought Cameron out thinking that since he is another year older that he would be okay.

Gracie even got into the action with papa of course. She didn't mind them at first they where a little loud but she was okay with it. Cameron on the other hand didn't do so hot. Cris convinced him to stay outside for a little bit. We found out that Cam likes the colored smoke bomb things, he doesn't mind the sparklers either. But anything that makes noise forget it he wants nothing to do with it.
Blaine and I are pretty big piros (sp?)so we thought that maybe Cameron would like it better if he felt like he was part of the action. So Blaine had him help light a smoke bomb and then Cameron helped throw it out in the street. Lets just say it didn't help. When we did the big ones after it got dark Cameron ran into the house and didn't come back out again.

It started to get a little to loud for Gracie so she and I walked down the street a couple of house and sat on the curb and watched the lights and then it wasn't as loud.
This was our mess after we where all done. The Bankhead's came over and brought some of what they had so we had a fireworks show on our street. Since it was so dark the picture didn't turn out very good but you can see this is when we bought them the day before at Sams Club. Cameron fell asleep so we just had to pile stuff on top of him. That huge box of fireworks was like 45.00 and I think when we go to the tents we usually get suckered for more than that and we got better stuff in the package from Sams. So I think we will be going back to Sams next year. All in all it was a good 4th of July. Hoping that next year we are in our own house so we can really have a party.
